Annual Holiday Open House & Art Fair
Saturday & Sunday, December 6 & 7, 2014
Held the first weekend of every December, the Holiday Open House has become a wonderful tradition at the Garden. For two days we have free Garden admission to the public and fantastic local artists offering their work for sale. Every year we attract holiday shoppers looking for special, unique gifts and guests who explore the winter garden.
Arbor Day is no longer a ZAP Free Day at Red Butte Garden
As the state's arboretum we cherish trees and all they provide for us. Arbor Day is a special day at Red Butte Garden and it will remain a special day for school groups to explore the garden and learn about the historical and environmental importance of Arbor Day. The Garden will also continue to plant one tree in honor of this day every year.
Red Butte Garden will no longer give away free saplings to all guests on Arbor Day, but you can support the Arbor Day Foundation by becoming a member and/or obtaining a tree directly from the foundation at: http://www.arborday.org/index.cfm
The Garden offers five Zap Free Days per year as listed on this page. We recently replaced Arbor Day with Zeke Dumke Day, to honor one of the founders of Red Butte Garden.
