Steely Dan

Mood Swings 2013: 8 Miles To Pancake Day

special guests Bobby Broom and The Deep Blue Organ Trio

Saturday, August 10 - SOLD OUT!

Donald Fagen and Walter Becker met in college in the late 1960's and have been writing songs ever since. Blending elements of jazz, rock, funk, and pop, Steely Dan made their mark with several classic tracks like “Reelin’ In The Years,” “Do It Again,” and “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number.” The band continued evolving, with a jazzier sound and stellar studio performances, like saxophonist Phil Woods on Katy Lied (1974). Their 1977 album Ajawon a Grammy, and Gaucho (1980) went Platinum. The band reunited to tour in 1993, and returned to the studio for Two Against Nature (2000) which was met with commercial and critical success, winning four Grammy Awards including “Album Of The Year.” They have sold more than 30-million albums worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
